Welcome to the internet home of Decoration Day Recordings.  We are an independent record label from Richmond, VA.

As you can tell, we’re just getting things started over here, but we’re very excited about things to come.

Why another record label?  As you know, the landscape of the music industry is changing by the minute and no one’s quite sure where things are going to end up.  Normally, this would be a terrifying time to start a new venture, but we think it’s the perfect time to operate on a small independent basis and be on the ground level of whatever happens next.

That said, Decoration Day Recordings will be focused entirely on vinyl-only releases paired with digital downloads.  We know the feeling of holding a new record in your hands and pouring over liner notes and artwork, but we also know that if you can’t put it on your iPod immediately, what’s the point?  So we’re going to try to give you both.
